Size & Care Guide

Order with Confidence:

With Dricast, you can shower, bathe, or swim worry-free. Use our easy-to-follow guide to find the perfect size and enjoy a smoother recovery.

Step 1: Measure your Cast or injured area

·       Measure from the heel (leg models) or finger tips (arm models) to about 50mm above the end of the cast or dressing/bandage (to allow enough area to seal to your skin).

·       For arm models going around a bent elbow – measure the longest distance around the bend.

·       Measure the circumference of the cast.

MEASURING TIP:

Ideally a 'soft' tape measure is best to use.

However if you don't have one, place a piece of string or cord or similar on/around the cast and hold on the areas required to be measured. Carefully hold the measured lengths when removing, then measure those lengths with a ruler or tape measure.

Step 2: Check the Size Table below to select your Dricast cover.

·       Ensure you select a cover that will fit over your cast or injury – length and circumference wise.

*Child Covers Tip:
Children near puberty may need adult sizes. Choose accordingly based on measurements.

Fitting Instructions for your Dricast Cover:

  1. Lightly dust the inside of the cover with talcum powder (first use only will usually last the entire injury).
  2. Fold the top half down over the bottom half.
  3. Roll the opening over a couple of times to prevent tearing.
  4. Carefully place your cast into the cover at the fold.
  5. Pull the top half of the cover up over the cast.
  6. Smooth the seal tightly to the skin (3-5cm above the cast) to prevent leaks.
  7. For swimming: Place a finger between the seal and skin when entering the water to release air, then remove the finger.
