Can I Use a Cast Cover at the Pool?

Dricast covers are particularly well suited to pool use.

If you are wearing an arm cover, check the seal and enter the water carefully.

For a leg cover, put it on close to the pool edge and avoid walking or standing on it. Where possible keep the covered leg away from the pool floor and other rough surfaces that could puncture the material.

Slippery surfaces can also present a risk when you have a fracture, so use assistance where necessary and follow your healthcare professional’s mobility instructions.

Can I Use a Cast Cover at the Beach?

An arm cast cover may be used at the beach with care.

However, we do not recommend walking or swimming from the shore while wearing a Dricast leg cover. Sand, stones, shells and other sharp surfaces can puncture the material.

Ocean swimming or snorkelling may be possible where the cover does not touch the seabed, but only with medical approval, suitable supervision and a safe way to enter and leave the water without walking on the cover.
